The Position: We’re looking for an Approvals Engineer to provide Group wide support for the identification and implementation of global compliance requirements applicable to the Groups portfolio of existing products and new product development. This will include identifying country legal product requirements and related product approval activities, providing advice to engineering teams in order to support a design for compliance, managing the relevant validation activities and feeding back compliance status.
This key role will interface between product management and engineering disciplines with possible direct end customer interaction.
Approvals will cover all phases of the product lifecycle including design standards, certification of software implementation through to labelling and packing requirements.
The required candidate should have an excellent technical background, along with the energy and motivation to deliver.
The pay range we’re offering is competitive.

The Location: The Gill Group is based in Lymington, in the New Forest district of Hampshire. This is a great place to live and work because of the large tourist industry, based on proximity to the New Forest and its harbour. It is a major yachting centre with three marinas. It faces Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, to which there is a car ferry service. We are within walking distance to public transportation, and in a great area for getting lunch.
With close access to the M27 (M3) and train line to Brockenhurst to allow direct mainline services to London and surrounding areas it provides a good location for both commuting to and travelling from.
