¨ Creating design specifications against technical standards and customer requirements.
¨ Creating innovative design concepts and development of electronics packaging solutions for harsh environments.
¨ Detail Design and development of products using 3D and 2D CAD.
¨ Preparing manufacturing documentation packages.
¨ Prototypes build, commissioning and supporting pre-production builds.
¨ Develop test plans for design verification, liaison with test houses and attend environmental testing.

¨ Experience in the design and development of electronics packaging solutions for use in harsh environments (High shock & vibration, ingress protection, corrosion, temperature, humidity, pressure etc).
¨ Highly proficient in the use of 2D & 3D CAD. Solidworks or similar CAD package.
¨ Experience of writing design specifications and requirements capture.
¨ Understanding of mechanical design principals and able to perform basic calculations.
¨ Experience of specifying and selecting materials against requirements.
¨ Demonstrable experience of design for assembly and manufacture using injection moulding, sheet metal, castings, CNC machining and other manufacturing techniques.
¨ Hands on approach to developing design solutions through prototyping and design verification and test.
¨ Tolerance analysis of parts and assemblies

¨ Knowledge of electronic instrumentation or electronic sensing techniques.
¨ Familiarity with the motorsport industry, defence or off highway vehicles.
¨ Experience in Stress and / or thermal analysis.
¨ Familiar with working to environmental standards.
